BSO Het Avontuur

BSO Het Avontuur is located right inside the Brandsmaschool building at Nieuwe ’s-Gravelandseweg 15 in Bussum. Our ‘home base’ is set up in the school’s gym: a welcoming place where children aged 7 to 10 can play, explore and unwind after school. The space is divided into cosy corners—a reading nook for quiet time, a craft table for making shadow boxes, decorating candles or sawing wooden boats, and plenty of room for group games such as ‘10-count jungle hide-and-seek’ or balloon races. Because we share the building with the school, we have short lines of communication with the teachers, ensuring a smooth and familiar transition from classroom to after-school care. Next to the gym we also have access to the large schoolyard with challenging play equipment. Here we organise sports and games, practise on the climbing frame and discover nature together. We believe outdoor play gives children’s brains an extra boost, so we head outside whenever we can. During school holidays and study days we open from 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and turn every day into a celebration: trips to Oud Valkeveen, the big playground at Heidezicht, the Bussum ice rink or nature walks with the forest ranger. Our own minibuses take us safely to every destination and these holiday activities are included at no extra cost. Parents stay informed through our Parent Portal, where we share the weekly programme, photos and a short impression of the day. If you have a question or want to pass on a message, you can send it directly to the pedagogical staff, who will respond as quickly as possible. Together we create a safe, challenging and friendly place where your child can be themselves and discover something new every day.
