Bilderdijkpark

Welcome to BSO Bilderdijkpark, part of the Amsterdamse Speeltuin Vereniging (ASV). Our after-school care is located right inside the leafy Bilderdijkpark at number 10 in Amsterdam West. We offer a warm, homely place where children aged 4 to 13 can play, explore and unwind after a busy school day. Every weekday our qualified staff collect children from De Waterkant primary school and the Dr Rijk Kramer ecumenical primary school. For safety and recognition the children wear reflective vests on the short walk or bike ride back to the setting. Once we arrive, the children decide for themselves whether to join an organised activity or enjoy free play in our large garden with two separate playgrounds. There is plenty of space to run, climb, play tag or hunt for ladybirds. Each month we work around an inspiring theme. Activities range from cooking with fresh ingredients to crafting with natural materials we collect in the park. During school holidays we run full activity programmes that include excursions such as plane-spotting at Schiphol or treasure hunts through the park. We also offer sports clubs, homework support and creative workshops. We believe every child should feel at home. That is why we keep our groups small and mixed-age, and we give each child personal attention. Parents stay informed through our own app. Every day we serve a fresh, warm lunch and healthy snacks; drinks are included. BSO Bilderdijkpark is housed in a characteristic 1900 building with a large green outdoor area. Children can choose between quiet corners for reading or active zones for building and sports. We trust in learning through play and give children room to test their own ideas. Together we turn every day into an adventure.
