Welcome to BSO Speelland Storm, our small-scale after-school care centre located at Storm Buysingstraat 18A in the heart of Leiden. Since September 2023 we have offered a warm second home for up to 36 primary-school children aged 4 to 12. Our close-knit team of professional pedagogical staff greets every child with a big smile and an adventurous programme each afternoon. Everything we do centres on free play, discovery and fun. Children are free to choose their own activities: creative arts and crafts corners, sporty games in our garden, or cooking together with fresh ingredients sourced from local shops. We regularly fetch fresh bread from the neighbourhood baker and prepare healthy snacks together, allowing children to learn about food and the community in a playful way. During holidays we organise special themed activities so that every day off feels like a celebration. Our setting is small and manageable, so every child feels at home quickly. Parents appreciate the personal approach and the fact that their children excitedly recount their adventures at Speelland. We use the parent app KOVnet to keep parents informed of daily happenings. BSO Speelland Storm is more than childcare; it is a place where children can be themselves and grow up happily.
