BSO de Klokkenberg

BSO De Klokkenberg is part of Stichting SOOS and is located within primary school De Klokkenberg at Kopseweg 7 in Nijmegen. We provide after-school care for up to 70 children aged 4 to 12. Our location operates four fixed groups: Groene Stip (youngest children 4-6 years), Rode Loper, Blauwe Spetter (middle groups) and Oranje Boven (oldest children 6-12 years). Each group has its own familiar space where children can play, craft, build, read or simply relax. Our qualified pedagogical staff organise daily activities such as cooking, creative workshops, sports and outdoor nature experiences. We use the school playground, large grass field and the forest opposite the school. During holidays and study days we adapt our programme with special outings and workshops. Together with the children we decide what activities are planned for the afternoon. At SOOS we believe that time at after-school care should be real free time. We provide a homely and safe environment where every child can be themselves. All our staff are qualified (minimum MBO level 3), have a Certificate of Good Conduct and are certified in first aid. Each child has a fixed mentor as the primary contact for both child and parents. We work closely with the primary school, allowing children to stay in a familiar environment and giving parents one point of contact. Our opening hours are aligned with school times: 07.30-08.30 (before-school care) and from school end until 18.30 (after-school care).
