Welcome to SKSG de Bloemenwei, our after-school care in the heart of Meerstad. We provide children aged 4 to 13 with a familiar place to be completely themselves after school. Our location at Dagpauwoog 1 is situated in a green, peaceful environment where children can relax, discover and play together. At Bloemenwei, we work with familiar faces and a recognizable daily rhythm, so every child quickly feels at home. Each day, two permanent pedagogical staff members are present: an activities supervisor who ensures fun and educational activities, and an emotional supervisor whom children can always turn to. We work with table groups, allowing children to play and learn in a familiar setting. Our activities align with a monthly theme from our annual planning. Think of creative craft projects, sports and movement activities, and discovery trips in the nature surrounding our location. Both indoors and outdoors, there is space for rest and action. Children choose for themselves where and with whom they want to play. A unique part of our approach is the BSO passport. Each child receives their own booklet with 25 'freedoms' that match their age. When a child demonstrates they can do something independently, they receive a sticker in their passport. This way, we playfully stimulate independence, creativity and self-confidence. We work closely with IKC Groenewei, ensuring a seamless transition between school and after-school care. Our opening hours are Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM. We provide care for up to 102 children, with personal attention and a safe environment being central to everything we do.
