SKSG Atlantis

Welcome to SKSG Atlantis, our cheerful after-school care centre in the Lewenborg district. We are located at Kiel 7, right next to De Swoaistee primary school, with which we form an Integral Child Centre. The location can accommodate up to 75 children aged 4 to 12. Our qualified staff collect the children directly after school and bring them to the BSO rooms. Regular care hours are from 15:00 to 18:00; on Wednesday through Friday we already start at 12:00. During holidays and study days we are open from 07:30, allowing parents to begin their working day with peace of mind. At Atlantis we work from a clear vision: children should feel safe, at home and challenged. We offer a varied activity programme that matches the children’s world of experience—think creative craft corners, building and construction toys, board games and plenty of room for free play. We also organise regular outings to the playground, the woods or cultural venues in Groningen. Our team consists of experienced pedagogical staff who understand the importance of both structure and play space. We set clear boundaries while also giving children the freedom to make their own choices and discover their talents. Cooperation with parents is essential: at drop-off and pick-up we literally hand over responsibility for the child and keep each other well informed about the day. In short, SKSG Atlantis is the place where school children can relax, play and learn new things in a familiar and safe environment after an intensive school day.
