SKO BSO De Uilenhorst

Welcome to SKO BSO De Uilenhorst, our welcoming after-school care centre located at Noordsingel 70 in Wezep. We are part of Stichting Kindcentrum Oldebroek (SKO), a non-profit foundation that has been a trusted name in the region for many years. Since 25 September 2012 we have provided out-of-school care for up to 40 children aged 4 to 12. Our centre follows SKO’s flexible or democratic parenting style. This means we put the child’s needs first while still setting clear boundaries. We constantly look for a healthy balance between what the child needs, the limits set by the caregiver, and what is possible within group care. Letting a child feel accepted is very important to us. In addition to regular after-school care we also offer before-school care (VSO). Children may be dropped off from 7:00 a.m. and have the freedom to play independently or join in a game with our pedagogical staff. Fifteen minutes before school starts we help the children get ready: a quick toilet break, coats on, and then we walk them to school. For children in groups 1 and 2 we accompany them right into the classroom. Our BSO is officially registered in the National Childcare Register under number 212387716 and is supervised by the GGD Noord- en Oost-Gelderland. This ensures we meet all statutory quality requirements and allows parents to apply for childcare allowance for our services.
