't Mouwtje

Welcome to BSO ’t Mouwtje, located at Huizerweg 49D in the heart of Bussum. We are part of SKBNM, a non-profit childcare organisation that has been supporting children and families in the Gooi and Vecht region for over 25 years. Our location is a true children’s paradise: a large, cosy and safe building with six groups, divided into two age categories – three groups for children aged 4 to 7 and three groups for children aged 6 to 10. This allows us to tailor activities perfectly to each age group. Every child is given the space to be themselves and to grow. Younger children mainly play downstairs in their own group room, directly adjacent to the play hall and our spacious outdoor area with a water pump, sand garden, outdoor kitchen and table-tennis table. Older children head upstairs, where they’ll find a gaming corner, construction corner, gym, kitchen and art studio. Whether they choose to join a creative workshop, take on a technical challenge, make music, play sports or simply enjoy free play – anything is possible. During school holidays and study days, we take things up a notch. We organise extra outings in our own minibuses, for example to Oud Valkeveen, the large playground at Heidezicht or the ice rink in Bussum. We also occasionally head out with the forest ranger. Best of all: these holiday activities come at no extra cost. We operate an open-door policy: children are welcome to play in other groups too. This lets them discover new corners and make friends easily. Our outdoor area borders the park of the same name, ’t Mouwtje – perfect for a breath of fresh air with a small group. Through the Parent Portal, we keep parents updated on the weekly activity programme, share photos and allow direct messaging to the group. In short: BSO ’t Mouwtje is a place children love to go to and where parents can leave with peace of mind. Growing together – that’s what we do here every single day.
