Sinne after-school care Prins Maurits is part of the Integrated Child Centre (IKC) Prins Maurits located at Brandemeer 1 in Leeuwarden. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 12 years in a modern, spacious and bright facility fully designed to meet the needs of school-age children. Our BSO is open every school day from 2:00 PM to 6:30 PM and during all school holidays and study days. We work closely with Prins Maurits primary school, which is housed in the same building. This close connection ensures that our pedagogical staff already know the children and that there is a smooth transition between school and after-school care. For parents, this means one familiar place where their child is guided throughout the day by familiar faces. Our activities are varied and stimulating. We make use of the extensive facilities of the IKC, such as the large gymnasium, library, art studio and outdoor spaces. Children can participate in sports and movement activities guided by neighborhood sports coaches, creative workshops in collaboration with Kunstkade, or technology and science projects. We also regularly organize themed days and excursions to museums, nature areas and cultural institutions in Leeuwarden and the surrounding area. We believe it is important that children feel safe and valued. That is why we work with fixed groups and permanent pedagogical staff who know the children well. Our staff are trained to guide children with their homework and provide quiet corners where children can work on school assignments. At the same time, we provide sufficient space for relaxation and free play activities. IKC Prins Maurits is more than just care and education. We are a meeting place for children and parents from the Bilgaard neighborhood. Parents are more than welcome to use their talents during our activities, from cooking to programming, from making music to giving workshops. Together we create a rich learning environment in which every child can develop in their own way and at their own pace.
