SDK Horizon

Welcome to SDK Mulo Burgt, our after-school care located in the heart of Dordrecht. We provide care for children aged 4 to 13 years in a safe and familiar environment at Singel 441. Our location accommodates up to 44 children, divided into two fixed groups: the Schatkamer and the Torenkamer. Each group has a maximum capacity of 22 children, and we maintain a stable group composition to ensure consistency and trust. Our pedagogical approach is outlined in a comprehensive pedagogical policy plan, which includes specific agreements on child guidance. We believe it is essential that every child feels seen and heard. Therefore, each child is assigned a dedicated mentor who serves as the primary contact for both the child and their parents. The mentor regularly discusses the child's development and well-being with the parents. We employ professional childcare staff who adhere to our policies. During activities, whether inside or outside the childcare center, the number of staff members remains consistent. We have a backup support system in place, ensuring an adult can be on-site within 15 minutes in case of an emergency. Our location recently relocated from Singel 443 to Singel 441, providing an improved environment for the children. We take pride in offering stable care where children can develop in a familiar setting with consistent faces and clear structure.
