SDK Belhamels

Welcome to SDK Belhamels, our cheerful after-school care centre in the pleasant Dubbeldam district of Dordrecht. We are located on the ground floor of the Julianaschool at Goudenregenstraat 65, so children only have to walk down the corridor after school to join us. This unique location makes the transition from school to after-school care smooth and familiar. Our centre has 65 regular places and is divided into three age groups: Lions and Panthers for children aged 4-7, and Tigers for children aged 7-12. This set-up allows us to tailor activities precisely to your child’s world of experience. Our pedagogical staff collect the youngest children from their classrooms after school, while older children walk to our rooms independently. We use the ‘Bso in Bloei’ programme developed by SDK. This means that every day we offer rich and meaningful experiences that connect with what children find interesting. Our rooms are arranged with different play corners: a craft and construction corner, a quiet reading corner with books, a dressing-up and role-play corner, and plenty of space to move around. Large windows let in lots of light and create a pleasant atmosphere. Around the school building there are playgrounds and a football pitch where children can romp to their heart’s content. During holiday weeks children are brought to the centre in the morning and we make extra use of this outdoor space for sports and games. We believe it is important that every child feels safe and at home so that they can confidently take the next step in their development.
