Stichting Scouting BSO Vlaardingen

Stichting Scouting BSO Vlaardingen is an after-school care facility located at Watersportweg 18 in Vlaardingen. We provide care for up to 75 children aged 4 to 12. Our BSO is housed in the scouting building of Scouting Group Maurits Viool, situated on the car-free Scout Centre Vlaardingen in the beautiful natural surroundings of the Broekpolder. Our motto “for and by children” is central: children help decide how they spend their free time. We work closely with Scouting Association Maurits Viool and use their four rooms, large kitchen and shower-equipped toilets on weekdays. Groups are organised by school year: Beavers (years 1-2), Foxes (years 2-3), Badgers (years 4-5) and Wolves (years 6-8). Activities focus on outdoor play, nature experience, adventure and learning new skills. We do not provide computers, but we do provide clean clothes on site and our own transport for outings. Children bring their own lunch. All pedagogical staff and volunteers hold a Certificate of Good Conduct and we meet all legal requirements of the GGD.
