BSO Puk Klingerveld

Welcome to BSO Puk Klingerveld, a welcoming after-school care centre located inside Gerardus primary school in the Klingerveld district of Deurne. We are part of Spring Kinderopvang and have been providing trusted care for up to 40 children aged 4 to 13 since 2010. Because we are housed in the school building, children simply walk in to see us as soon as the last bell rings. Our familiar pedagogical staff greet every child with a smile and a listening ear. Our spacious group room is set up like a real ‘home after school’. Different corners invite children to choose whatever appeals to them at that moment: a creative table full of craft supplies, a quiet reading nook with cushions and books, a construction area with LEGO and Kapla, and a cosy dining table where we share drinks and a biscuit. Large windows flood the room with light and provide a free view of the playground, so the indoors and outdoors blend together naturally. That outdoor space is one of our greatest assets. We have a fully fenced, natural playground with grass, trees, a sandpit and climbing equipment. Children can run wild, build dens, play tag or simply lie in the grass. When the weather is nice we eat outside and organise sports and games such as football, tug-of-war or a scavenger hunt through the greenery. We believe it is important that, after an intensive school day, children have space to move and relax in the fresh air. Our approach is aimed at making every child feel safe, seen and valued. We work with permanent staff who really know the children and understand what is on their minds. There is room for personal initiative: if a child prefers to sit quietly with a book or organise a group game, both are possible. We maintain clear agreements and structure, but within those boundaries there is plenty of freedom. We also encourage cooperation and respect: we teach children to take each other into account and to enjoy the time they spend with us together. In short, BSO Puk Klingerveld is a place where children can ‘land’, play, laugh and unwind after school. We look forward to welcoming your son or daughter too!
