De Ontdekking

Welcome to De Ontdekking PC Jenaplanschool, located at Schopenhauerstraat 277 in Apeldoorn. We are part of PCBO Apeldoorn, a forward-thinking educational organisation with 25 primary schools where children can truly be themselves. Our after-school care (BSO) offers a warm and safe place for children aged 4 to 13. Everything we do is centred around discovery. Children learn by investigating, experimenting and explaining things to each other. We provide a rich environment where they can climb in our tree house, relax in the living kitchen or get creative in the art studio. Together with the children we come up with the most enjoyable activities, allowing every child to develop their talents. Continuity and trust are key. We work exclusively with permanent childcare professionals who know the children well and are present on fixed days. When someone is ill or on holiday we always try to swap in another familiar face, so children never meet strangers. We also arrange transport from school to the BSO, giving parents peace of mind while they work. Communication with parents runs through a convenient parent app where days can be swapped or extra care requested. During a personal intake we get to know the child and the parents well. We evaluate progress every three months and have daily contact at pick-up. Together we create a safe and stimulating environment in which every child can grow and flourish.
