Welcome to BSO De Schatgraver, a warm and homely after-school care facility located in De Schatgraver primary school at Van Houtenlaan 1A in Zwolle. We provide care for children aged 4 to 13 years, both after school hours and during holidays. As our BSO is located within the school building, children can easily walk to us independently after school. For children attending the De Marshof branch, we provide supervised pickup.
At BSO De Schatgraver, fun and development are central. We offer a varied activity program where children can choose what they want to do. We organize dance, music, art and cooking workshops and encourage children to discover their creativity. There is also plenty of room for sports activities in our gym and on the challenging schoolyard with sandbox, climbing frame and football cage. The field behind the school also offers opportunities for adventurous play.
We work with fixed base groups divided into three age groups: 4-6 years, 5-8 years and 7-13 years. Each group has its own place in the school and dedicated pedagogical staff who know the children well. We have an open-door policy, allowing children to also do activities in other spaces or with siblings from other groups.
Healthy nutrition is very important to us. We start each afternoon with a healthy snack of fruit and water or tea. On Wednesdays we eat a healthy bread meal together with lean toppings. We actively involve children in determining our activity program through children's participation. Together with the children and our children's mayor, we compile a new program monthly.
Our Christian identity forms the basis of our care. We want every child to flourish and see the treasure in every child. We work closely with De Schatgraver primary school and use the same Kanjer method for behavior guidance. This way we provide a continuous line from care to school.Read more
