Popeye Prinses Marijkestraat

Popeye Prinses Marijkestraat is one of six after-school care locations of Stichting BSO Popeye in Diemen. We provide care for up to 80 children aged 4 to 13. Our location is within walking distance of Diemen’s primary schools, so children can walk to the BSO with our pedagogical staff after school. We are open from the end of the school day until 18:30 and during school holidays from 08:30 to 18:30. We believe children need to unwind after school and do what they enjoy. We therefore offer a wide range of activities such as arts and crafts, sports and games, building and relaxing. During holidays we organise fun, varied activities and excursions—for example visits to Artis zoo, the cinema, Ballorig, museums, the park or the forest. These outings are always included; no extra charges apply. Our qualified staff guide the children in their play. We see after-school time as free time, so children are free to choose what they want to do. Through play they learn to try new things, build self-confidence and deal with frustration. They discover what they like and what they are capable of, while making friends with peers. Popeye is a non-profit foundation established in 1986 by parents in Diemen. We stand for affordable, professional and reliable care. We are open 52 weeks a year, including the Christmas holiday. Extra days or swapping days can often be arranged on request.
