Welcome to the after-school care (BSO) of Pinokkio Noordwijk Zee B.V., located at Hoogwakersbosstraat 22 in child center KC Op Zee. Our after-school care provides a warm and safe place for children aged 4 to 12 years. With a maximum capacity of 55 children, we create a homely environment where every child feels welcome. At our BSO, there is room for everyone. We make no distinction between boys or girls and believe it's important that children can choose activities that suit them. From quietly doing puzzles to romping around in the gym, from crafting in our studio to daydreaming with a book in our 'chill corner' – nothing is mandatory, everything is allowed. Together with the children, we develop a new monthly activity program around a theme that connects with their world and school. We have various play areas designed for different ages: a chill area for older children, a creative studio, a laboratory for experiments, a cooking island for cooking activities, a household corner and a construction corner with magnets and building materials. Doing homework can be done quietly in a separate space, where our pedagogical staff help when needed. We believe it's important that the BSO is an extension of the daycare, where we offer a complete program including meals and snacks buffet-style. Our BSO coordinator oversees the schedule and logistical matters, where we strive to deploy a regular substitute in case of absence to ensure continuity. Registration and deregistration run through short lines with our office. We consciously work on children's self-regulation. Our supervisors support where necessary, but mainly let children discover and try for themselves. This way we stimulate their independence and help them develop into self-reliant young people.
