Welcome to BSO Pico Energieweg, our location for older children from 8 years and up in Nijmegen. We are located at Energieweg 45, within walking distance of sports club Blauw-Wit which we frequently use. Sports and physical activity are central to our program. Children can let off steam on the sports field and in the sports hall, where we collaborate with the club to create a varied offering. Our location is specifically designed for children in the upper grades of primary school. We work with a horizontal group, ensuring all children are approximately the same age. This creates a pleasant dynamic where children can challenge each other and grow together. Activities are tailored to the interests of this age group, with plenty of room for sports challenges and team building. After school, children first come together to relax with some food and drinks. Then we start with the day's activities. This can include football, basketball, but also other sports and games. We utilize the professional facilities of Blauw-Wit, allowing us to offer a wide range of activities. During school holidays, we organize special sports days and tournaments where children from different Pico locations can participate. We believe it's important that children feel both safe and challenged. Our pedagogical staff are specialized in guiding this age group and ensure a positive atmosphere where everyone can be themselves. We encourage children to try new things and push their boundaries, always in a safe and responsible manner. BSO Pico Energieweg is part of KION, the largest childcare organization in Nijmegen and surrounding areas. We work according to the Jenaplan principle, where we focus on the child's development and build on their own talents and interests. Our location is registered in the National Childcare Register and we meet all quality requirements.
