BSO Berend Botje, location Pierewiet is located at Spaans Leger 31 in the centre of Enkhuizen, sharing the premises with the Pierewiet playgroup. We provide after-school care for up to 22 children aged 4 to 12. Our qualified staff collect the children from nearby primary schools and accompany them to our bright, secure group room. After a busy school day each child decides for themselves whether to play, relax or join an activity. A clear daily schedule offers structure and calm, while still leaving room for personal initiative. The Parent App keeps you informed with photos, reports and important announcements, so you can share in your child’s experiences. We are open 51 weeks a year, Monday to Friday. After-school care starts immediately after school and runs until 18.30. During school holidays and study days care starts at 7.00 and you can drop off your child between 7.00 and 9.30; pick-up is until 18.30. We are only closed on nationally recognised public holidays, the Friday after Ascension Day and the week between Christmas and New Year. For care during our closure days you can use our registered child-minding service free of charge. Safety and trust are the foundation of our pedagogical climate. We work with the Child Tracking System (KVS) and invite you annually for a 10-minute conversation about your child’s development. Our parent committee actively contributes to policy and activities. Together we ensure that Pierewiet remains a pleasant, familiar place where children love to come.
