BSO Berend Botje Oosthuizen

ClubBB Berend Botje Oosthuizen is our cool after-school care located inside the multi-function centre MFA De Groote Molen at Seevancksweg 93 in Oosthuizen. We welcome up to 58 children aged 4 to 12 on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. Our professional staff pick the children up from OBS De Koningsspil and bring them to our bright, spacious BSO room where a warm and challenging environment awaits. At ClubBB we work thematically and child-centred. Each afternoon starts with a shared moment: a quick chat about the school day, after which children choose their own activities. Our programme is varied and stimulating: we craft with natural materials, build with technical sets, cook and bake in our children’s kitchen and play sports in the large gym of MFA De Groote Molen. We also make regular excursions to the forest, the petting farm and the village. We believe every child should feel safe and seen. That is why we work with fixed groups and fixed staff members. Our room is divided into different corners: a quiet corner with books and cushions, a building corner with LEGO and Kapla, a creative corner with paint and craft supplies and a movement corner where we can dance, do gymnastics and play. We use the spacious outdoor area with natural playground and sports field every day. For children with food allergies we always have gluten-free and lactose-free alternatives. Parents stay in touch easily through our Berend Botje App: photos and reports of the afternoon are shared and absence or special notes can be communicated directly. We cooperate closely with OBS De Koningsspil and align our activities with the school holidays. ClubBB is a place where children can relax, make friends and discover new things after an intensive school day.
