Welcome to Partou BSO Vestingplein 64 in the heart of Velserbroek! Our spacious and welcoming building – complete with its own gym – offers a new adventure every afternoon for up to 130 children in school years 3 to 8. As soon as the school bell rings, our pedagogical staff are ready and waiting at De Beekvliet, De Hoeksteen, De Pionier, De Rozenbeek, De Westbroek and Floriant. Wearing high-visibility vests for extra safety, we escort the children on foot, by bike or by taxi to our after-school care. Children can choose from a huge range of activities. In the disco room they play their favourite music, while the doll’s corner invites imaginative role-play. The technology room sparks curiosity with Lego, Kapla and craft projects such as mask-making or building peek boxes. Our gym offers space for sports and games, and on our own playground children can cycle, play marbles, stilt-walk, climb and clamber or chalk the pavement. We regularly run workshops in ukulele, graffiti or Capoeira, and during holidays there is a varied programme with extra trips to the playground, nature park, woods and dunes. We work from six pedagogical building blocks that give every child a powerful start. Through play, children develop resilience and self-confidence in an environment where they feel safe and seen. Parents stay informed via our own app: a message that all is well, a photo of a successful craft project or a short report of the afternoon.
