BSO de Hoeksteen

BSO de Hoeksteen is located within Kindcentrum De Hoeksteen at Burg Malcorpslaan 101 in Hasselt. We provide after-school care for up to 44 children from grades 1 to 8, divided into two horizontal groups: one for the lower grades (1-3) and one for the upper grades (4 and above). Our service is part of Christian Childcare KleurRijk, so our Christian identity is central. We pass on Christian values, pray together, sing Christian children’s songs, read from the Bible and celebrate Christian holidays. Every day the children have the opportunity to go outside in our spacious, well-equipped playground. We also work closely with the primary school: we deliberately choose books that reflect our shared Christian identity and both our pedagogical staff and the school team are trained in the Kanjer method, ensuring consistent interaction with the children. Fun and personal attention are paramount; we offer a fixed daily schedule and a varied activity programme in which play, social contact and development go hand in hand.
