Ontdekkers

Located in the centre of Alphen, BSO De Ontdekkers is situated on Javastraat 5. We are on the ground floor of primary school Het Palet, allowing children to easily and safely walk in after school. In our spacious BSO area we have set up various themed corners where children can choose what they want to do. At the wooden craft table we create creative artworks and in the kitchen we regularly organise cooking and baking activities. After school, children can release their energy in our own gym. We organise sports and movement activities that match the interests of the children. We also love to go outside. We often play on the school playground of Het Palet or visit the nearby playground association. For excursions we use the school playgrounds and playgrounds in the immediate vicinity, so that children can discover and play in a familiar environment. De Ontdekkers not only offers after-school care, but also a breakfast club for children who are early risers. From Monday to Friday you can come to us from 07:30 for a healthy breakfast and play until it's time to go to class. For parents who start even earlier, there is the possibility to use the breakfast club from 07:00, please contact our customer service for this. Our pedagogical staff pick up children on foot from the primary schools within walking distance of the BSO. For schools that are further away, Junis Kinderopvang uses its own (bicycle) buses or has made agreements with a taxi company. We work together with the schools to determine pick-up points and together with the teachers we ensure that all children arrive safely at De Ontdekkers.
