BSO Okidoki Leeuwerik 9

Welcome to BSO Okidoki Leeuwerik 9, located right in the centre of Kwintsheul. We provide after-school care for children in primary school groups 1 through 8 and maintain a close partnership with the adjacent Andreashof primary school. A connecting door allows our children to walk straight from class into our building, making the transition from school to after-school care seamless. Our location houses two BSO groups with room for up to 60 children. We use a horizontal group structure, so children play and work with peers of the same age. The younger children (groups 1-3) are in one room, while the older children (groups 4-8) are in another. Each group has its own regular pedagogical staff who know every child well and provide a familiar, trusted environment. Every afternoon the children choose from our activity carousel. Options include cooking in our living kitchen, arts and crafts in the studio, sports and games in the Quintus sports hall, or technology and nature activities on our own outdoor grounds. The choice is wide and changes daily. For real outdoor enthusiasts, we offer the option from group 4 onwards to join the BSO outdoor group De Waterjutters. Our outdoor area consists of an enclosed playground with a climbing frame, sandpit, football corner and stepping-stones. There is also an open area where children covered by the 7+ policy may play independently. We also make regular use of the sports field and sports hall of the Quintus sports association, right next door. During school holidays we organise excursions—think swimming-pool visits, treasure hunts through the Westland region or creative workshops elsewhere in the area. Parents receive all programme information via our Konnect app and can easily register or deregister their children. We are open on school days from the end of school until 18:00. During holidays we are open Monday to Friday from 7:30 to 18:00. Our regular pedagogical staff work fixed days and provide each child with personal guidance. Together we create a safe, challenging and above all welcoming place where children feel at home.
