Oens Kiendhuus

Oens Kiendhuus provides after-school care in the heart of Wapse, located at Haarsmastraat 2. We are officially registered in the National Childcare Register under number 132031541 and are supervised by GGD Drenthe. Our location accommodates up to 15 children aged 4 to 12 years. Since 17 December 2010 we have been active as a BSO and operate under the Oens Kiendhuus Foundation, established in August 2020. We use small horizontal groups to ensure calm and structure. Each group has a dedicated childcare worker as a mentor, who is the first point of contact for both child and parent. Our staff have appropriate training according to the current Childcare Collective Labour Agreement and work under the guidance of a separate coach. The language of instruction is Dutch. We provide a safe pedagogical climate in which children feel emotionally secure and are playfully challenged in motor, cognitive, language and creative skills. Our location meets all legal requirements in terms of safety, health and quality, as recently confirmed in the inspection report of 24 March 2022.
