Welcome to Kinderopvang 't Nest, Location BSO de Weisterbeek in Horst. We are an after-school care facility (BSO) that provides care for children aged 4 to 13 years in the De Weisterbeek primary school building at Schoolstraat 8. Our location accommodates up to 44 children and has been officially registered in the National Childcare Register since 2011. Our focus is on creating a safe and familiar environment where children can develop and flourish. We operate with two separate groups: one for younger BSO children (4-6 years) and one for older children (7+ years). This structure allows us to offer activities that perfectly match each child's age and developmental stage. Our pedagogical professionals pick up children directly from their classrooms after school and safely guide them to the BSO areas. After enjoying drinks and snacks together, our activity program begins. We believe it's important for children to be active and play outdoors. Our large outdoor space is specially designed for active play and discovery adventures. Children have the freedom to choose their own activities or participate in the offered program. This not only stimulates their physical development but also their social-emotional growth. Each child has their own mentor at our facility - a familiar face they can talk to about anything. Whether it's something fun they've experienced, a new hobby they want to explore, or a problem they're facing. This mentor is always available for both the child and the parents. Our care is designed to challenge and stimulate children every day. We offer before-school care from 7:30-8:30 AM, after-school care until 6:00 PM (on Wednesdays until 6:00 PM from 12:30 PM), and holiday care during school-free days. Extended care from 7:00 AM and until 6:30 PM is possible under certain conditions. As part of Kinderopvang 't Nest, we work according to our pedagogical vision of 'observe, follow, and challenge'. We consciously observe each child's uniqueness, follow their development and needs, and challenge them to discover and develop their talents. Together with parents, school, and other stakeholders, we ensure a continuous developmental path for your child.
