BSO Norlandia kinderopvang, MFA Het Spoor

Welcome to BSO Norlandia Het Spoor, our after-school care located in the Multifunctional Centre Het Spoor at Schaepmanstraat 42 in Tilburg. We provide care for up to 72 children aged 4 to 12. Together with day-care Het Spoor (0-4 years), primary school De Stappen and organisation Contour de Twern we share this building, creating a warm, familiar environment. Everything we do revolves around outdoor play. Every day our children romp around the schoolyard, play football, climb in the playground or build tall towers. Even a little rain or wind will not stop us from going outside; fresh air and exercise are central. We work with three age groups so that every child finds challenging activities that match his or her development. Our close-knit, stable team ensures that every child sees a familiar face. Each child is also assigned a fixed mentor who monitors well-being and development throughout the year. This mentor is the first point of contact for parents and provides regular feedback on progress. Because some of our pedagogical staff work at both the after-school care and the day-care, the transition from toddler care to after-school care is smooth and familiar. We pick up the children directly after school and provide care on study days and during school holidays from 12.30 or 14.30 hrs. Parents can choose 40 or 52 weeks of care per year. We work intensively with primary school De Stappen: if something happens at school, such as a quarrel or an accident, it is immediately shared with us so that we can provide targeted care and guidance. Norlandia stands for ‘discovering for yourself’. Children are given space to make their own choices, let their imagination run wild and explore the world through play. We work thematically according to the annual Norlandia Quest programme and pay a lot of attention to sustainability within our GoGreen concept. In short: at BSO Norlandia Het Spoor children experience new adventures every day, preferably outdoors and always in a safe, familiar environment.
