BSO Nijemirdum- Oudemirdum

BSO Nijemirdum-Oudemirdum is part of SKIK Kinderopvang and is located inside primary school De Walikker at Jan Schotanuswei 46 in Oudemirdum. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 12. Children attending De Walikker as well as De Ferbining in Nijemirdum are welcome; pupils from De Ferbining are collected at the end of the school day by our staff so they can travel safely to the BSO. Our spacious, welcoming group room is divided into different activity corners where children can build, play or simply relax. The hall offers plenty of room for movement and games, and at the large group table we regularly craft, read, eat or play board games together. For the more energetic children there is the school’s gym: the ideal spot for sporty games, dance and movement. Outside we have a large playground with varied play equipment. Right opposite the school lies a beautiful forest where we often go on discovery trips or simply run and romp around. This natural play environment fits perfectly with our vision: children are given the space to explore, build self-confidence and develop social skills. At SKIK, fun is central – in Frisian the word ‘SKIK’ means just that! We believe children grow best when they feel safe, seen and valued. Our dedicated pedagogical professionals provide a recognisable daily rhythm, inspiring activities and guidance tailored to each child’s development.
