BSO Nieuwe Pekela De Flamingo's

BSO De Flamingo’s is located right in the centre of Nieuwe Pekela, at Dorpshuisstraat 4. We provide after-school care (BSO) and before-school care (VSO) for children aged 4 to 12. Since 17 August 2020 we have been part of Kids First Childcare NL B.V. and cooperate closely with CBS Groen van Prinsterer, so children can walk straight into our safe group after the last school bell. Our setting welcomes a maximum of 22 children. The rooms are furnished like a home, making every child feel at ease quickly. We create a warm environment where playing together, making friends and learning boundaries are key. Children decide for themselves: join in sports, games, music, arts & crafts and cooking sessions, or simply relax with a book or friends. During term time we offer care before school (VSO) and after school (BSO). In the holidays we are open every weekday and organise themed weeks such as the ‘Healthy Tasting Weeks’. During these weeks children discover, in a playful way, how fun and tasty healthy food can be by preparing cucumber sushi, couscous salad or hummus themselves. Our qualified pedagogical staff provide loving attention and guide each child’s development. Because we work on a small scale, we truly see every child and can give plenty of room for personal initiative. Children from other primary schools are also very welcome.
