BSO Mundo de Vuurvogel

Welcome to BSO Mundo de Vuurvogel, located right inside primary school ODS De Vuurvogel at Zwanenhoek 41 in Spijkenisse. As part of Mundo Kinderopvang, we offer before-school care from 7:00 AM and after-school care until 6:30 PM. Our BSO is specially designed for children aged 4 to 12 who attend the public Dalton school De Vuurvogel. Our spaces are carefully arranged to create a homely yet challenging environment. The hallway is set up as a cozy grandma-style living room where children can read, chat or play board games. In the studio, children explore their creative talents through arts and crafts, drawing and building. We have various play corners including a construction corner, car corner, doll corner and a quiet reading corner with wooden benches. Additionally, we use the learning plaza which features a mobile kitchen, library and gymnasium. Our permanent pedagogical staff are all trained as outdoor coaches and are ready to make every day special. Together with the children, they invent new, educational and especially fun activities. Think of drama performances, sports and games, creative workshops and nature activities. We regularly receive visits from Mundo's Activity Team, who specialize in sports, play, nature and artistic activities. During holidays and study days, we collaborate with BSO Salamanderveen and organize extra festive outings, workshops and special activities. We view time at the BSO as free time where children can relax and choose what they want to do. There is always plenty of challenging play materials and a cozy, relaxed atmosphere. Through the unique collaboration between the toddler group, BSO and primary school, we create a continuous line from age 2 to 12. We use the same furnishings and materials as the school, creating a familiar and calm environment. Together with parents, we work on each child's development so they enjoy coming to the BSO and can fully develop themselves.
