BSO Mr Baarsschool

Welcome to BSO Meester Baars, our welcoming after-school care located right inside the Meester Baars primary school building on Koninginneweg 228 in Rotterdam’s IJsselmonde district. Because we share the premises, children step straight from their classroom into our care—no travelling, just a familiar, safe environment. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 12. Our qualified pedagogical staff collect the younger pupils (up to Grade 3) from their classrooms, while older children meet us at an agreed spot on the playground. From there we walk together to our dedicated BSO rooms on the ground floor of the same building, encouraging independence every step of the way. Our approach is guided by five core values: love, attention, balance, play and diversity. Every child is unique and deserves the space to discover talents, experiment and learn through play. During term-time we run two separate groups. On Wednesdays, when numbers are lower, we combine the groups into one close-knit community. In school holidays we join forces with Sport BSO De Zwervers: in spring and summer the children enjoy the facilities at De Zwervers, while in autumn and winter they stay with us at Meester Baars. We work hand-in-hand with Meester Baars primary school. We handle pick-up and drop-off, use clear agreements and offer a “self-reliance contract” for older children. When the school organises after-school activities (Bredeschool), we can escort enrolled children to and from these workshops. Everything we do is designed to support your child’s development in a warm, stimulating and familiar setting.
