Montessori Nijmegen Oost

At the after-school care (BSO) Montessori Nijmegen-Oost, part of KION Kinderopvang, we provide care for children aged 4 to 13 at the Montessori Child Centre located at Heyendaalseweg 6 in Nijmegen. We believe children develop best when they are free to choose their own activities. Every day we offer new creative or sports games and activities, both indoors and outdoors. Your child simply decides what they want to join. Relaxing or playing alone is always an option too. Our youngest BSO group shares a cosy space with the toddler group, featuring a playhouse, construction corner, reading nook and art studio. Older children have their own area in the gym, where they can play games, be creative, chill out or perform theatre. For outdoor play we use the playground next to the building. Children climb the climbing tree, play in the sandpit, ride bikes or carts from the shed and take part in the outdoor activities regularly organised by our staff. Montessori Nijmegen-Oost operates on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. On Fridays the children go to BSO De Buut. During school holidays the children stay at our own BSO. We are part of Montessori Child Centre Nijmegen-Oost and share the building and all facilities with the Montessori school and toddler group. Together we create a safe and stimulating environment where every child can flourish according to the Montessori vision: self-reliant, independent and enjoying learning and play.
