BSO Montessori I

BSO Montessori I is an after-school care facility located on the grounds of Montessorischool Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel at Schoolstraat 2. We provide care for up to 40 children aged 4 to 12. Our location works closely with the primary school: we pick up the children directly from their classroom after school and bring them to our spacious, child-friendly care rooms. On Wednesday and Friday afternoons, children from BSO De Terp also join us, creating a pleasant mixed group. We follow the Montessori pedagogy: children are given space to make their own choices, develop freely and learn from each other. The rooms are carefully arranged with Montessori materials and challenging corners for relaxation, play and creative activities. Outside, we have a safe playground where children can romp, do sports or quietly read a book in the fresh air. Our team of pedagogical staff guide the children with warm attention and offer a varied programme daily. Think of crafts, cooking, building, making music or just free play. During school holidays we organise extra outings and workshops, making every holiday a special experience.
