Monkey Moves BSO - Kees Boekelaan

Monkey Moves BSO – Kees Boekelaan is located right at the heart of the SCHC sports grounds on Kees Boekelaan 1 in Bilthoven. Starting 1 June 2025, we welcome up to 29 primary-school children to our small-scale, sports-oriented after-school care. The site offers direct access to woods, fields and sports facilities, giving children plenty of space to romp, move and unwind after a busy school day. At Monkey Moves, the joy of versatile movement is central. Our multi-sport programme – developed together with movement scientists, teachers and therapists – playfully introduces children to at least twelve different sports. Think athletics, baseball, climbing and scrambling, but also quieter activities such as crafts and reading for those who need to relax. We work with regular routines and clear structure so every child knows what to expect and feels safe. Our pedagogical staff collect children from the schools with which we have transport agreements. For schools without an agreement, parents arrange transport themselves. During holidays, transport is always the parents’ responsibility. We serve organic, healthy food and take allergies or special dietary needs into account. Everything is recorded in our parent app, which allows parents to request extra days, cancel holiday weeks and communicate directly with the team. Rest, routine and room to make their own choices, together with sport and play, form the basis of our approach. We believe that children develop into independent, sporty and happy people this way.
