MikMak Struinen

MikMak Struinen is our after-school care located in the bamboo forest of Steck, right next to OBS Tuindorp at Professor van Bemmelenlaan 34 in Utrecht. We welcome up to 20 children aged 4 to 12. One thing is central to us: being outdoors, exploring and having adventures. As soon as school ends, we put on our boots and cycle together to the Steck grounds. We spend the entire afternoon outside; there is no separate after-school room. Rain or shine, we always head out. If it suddenly gets cold or starts raining hard, we build a shelter or hold a puddle-stomping contest. If extreme weather makes it unsafe, we stay cosy in Tuindorp and turn it into a snug games afternoon. Our regular pedagogical staff from Mini Stek are ready for you every day. We listen to your stories, sense what you need and make sure you quickly feel at home. At MikMak Struinen it’s all about attention, fun and connection. So put on your old clothes, because chances are you’ll get nicely dirty!
