BSO Manjefiek

BSO Manjefiek is a small-scale after-school care centre located at Schildruwe 1 in the Malberg district of Maastricht. We are part of Kindcentrum Manjefiek, where childcare and education come together seamlessly. Our team welcomes up to 22 children each day in a homely environment where every child feels safe and valued. Our bright, spacious rooms open onto a natural playground and a gym. After school, children can choose to unwind with crafts in our creative corner or burn off energy playing football or building dens in the green outdoor area. We regularly cook together, letting children invent recipes and chop fresh ingredients. This not only produces tasty results but also builds pride and self-confidence. Every Monday afternoon we run the ‘Manjefieke Monday Club’, open to children from the wider neighbourhood as well. We draw, craft, play sports and go on outings to places such as the forest, a museum or a sports park. Our pedagogical staff tailor activities to the children’s interests and give plenty of room for their own initiatives. Through play, children practise social skills, learn to deal with winning and losing, and discover their talents. Parents experience our after-school care as an extension of home. We communicate openly and informally, always ready to listen to families’ wishes. BSO Manjefiek works closely with primary school Manjefiek, so children can move seamlessly to a familiar place after lessons. We care for children aged 4 to 13 and are open during all school weeks and holidays.
