SKSG Merdeka

Welcome to SKSG Merdeka, our after-school care (BSO) located at Molukkenstraat 1-2 in Groningen. We provide a safe, home-like place for up to 48 primary-school children aged 4 to 12 after the school day ends. The centre is right next to Het Karrepad primary school, so the walk from classroom to after-school care is literally a few steps away. We run two fixed, age-based groups: Madja (4-6 years) and Hormat (8-12 years). This horizontal grouping lets us tailor activities and guidance to each child’s age and developmental stage. Inspired by Dalton education, we emphasise freedom of choice, collaboration and independence. Every afternoon your child decides whether to burn off energy in our large natural outdoor play area, join a sports or games activity, get creative with arts and crafts, or simply relax with a book or board game. A healthy snack with fruit and a drink is served daily. We regularly organise short local excursions and theme activities linked to the seasons or current events. Our team of qualified pedagogical staff work closely with the teachers next door, ensuring a seamless continuation of your child’s learning and development. In short, SKSG Merdeka is the trusted place where your child can play, learn and recharge after school until you arrive.
