BSO Marnix

BSO Marnix is part of IRIS Kindcentrum Marnix, located at Bovensingel 19 in the Kampen-Zuid district. We provide before- and after-school care for children aged 4 to 12, Monday through Friday. Our integrated child-centre combines primary education and childcare under one roof; teachers, pedagogical staff and other professionals work together to support your child’s development. The BSO uses a green outdoor area adjacent to the building: a secure, lockable school playground with annually inspected play equipment. The neighbourhood also offers a nature playground, petting zoo, Speelpoort playground, deer park and the windmill on the river IJssel. We regularly organise outings, including trips by BSO bus to the local library. We believe every child has unique talents. Our pedagogical staff provide emotional support, encourage independence and organise activities such as drama, dance, sports, crafts and creative workshops. After school there is time to unwind: sitting on a lap, reading a book or having a chat. Children can then choose from a varied programme that matches their interests. New children receive a warm welcome through a personal intake with parents and child. When needed, we arrange a hand-over from day-care and provide extra guidance during the first weeks. For children from about 8 years old, parents may agree to let them travel certain routes independently. BSO Marnix stands for fun, talent development and achievement.
