BSO It Flinterke – De Vrijbuiters in Mantgum is part of Kids First and provides after-school care for up to 30 children aged 4 to 12. We share the site with day-care centre It Flinterke at Om’e Terp 23, right next to primary school De Gielguorde, so children can walk over safely and quickly when classes end. Our qualified pedagogical staff create a homely atmosphere where children can play, relax and build friendships. We are open before and after school, on teacher training days and throughout all school holidays. The rooms are spacious and bright, offering plenty of options for building, crafting, games or simply winding down. Outside there is a secure playground where children can run, cycle and take part in sports and movement activities. Activities are tailored to the children’s age and interests. Younger children are given quiet moments and homework guidance, while older children are encouraged to make choices and help plan the programme. Holiday periods feature outings and themed weeks to keep things varied and fun.
