Madagaskar

Welcome to Madagaskar, our cheerful after-school care centre at Hildamlaan 1 in Benthuizen. We are part of Junis Kinderopvang and offer a safe, stimulating place after school for up to 36 children aged 4 to 12. Our pedagogical staff collect the children on foot from the primary schools within walking distance. For schools located a little further away we use our own (bike) buses or work together with a taxi company, so every child arrives safely. Together with the teachers we ensure a smooth transition from school to the BSO. At Madagaskar we work in age groups. Children have room to choose creative activities such as arts and crafts, explore nature during our outdoor activities and burn off energy in our garden. We regularly organise excursions in the neighbourhood and provide quiet moments with a book in our reading corner. In between we serve healthy snacks and drinks and take allergies into account. Parents stay in touch with the group easily through our Junis app and receive photos and messages about their child’s experiences. This way everyone is kept up to date about the great afternoons at Madagaskar.
