SKSG Liekelei

Welcome to SKSG Liekelei, our homely after-school care located in the heart of Leek's child-friendly residential area. We are literally housed in the same building as OBS De Nijenoert primary school, making the transition from school to after-school care completely natural for children. Our BSO door opens directly at the end of the school day, allowing children to walk straight in. Our location is small-scale, and you'll notice this immediately. We provide care for a maximum of 48 children, enabling us to know each child personally and give genuine attention. The atmosphere is familiar and warm, just like home. We work with different age groups while considering each child's developmental stage. The younger group (4-7 years) has their own space to play, craft and discover. Older children (8-12 years) have more room for independent activities and can, for example, game together, build with LEGO or read in our quiet corner. What makes us special is our connection with nature. SKSG has sustainability high on its agenda, reflected in our activities. We regularly go outside, use natural materials in our craft projects, and teach children about the world around them through play. Our outdoor space offers plenty of opportunities for climbing, running and discovery. We have a vegetable garden where children grow their own vegetables and herbs, which we later use for preparing healthy snacks. Our collaboration with OBS De Nijenoert is intensive. We know the teachers, understand what's happening at school, and can therefore connect well with the children's world of experience. For parents, this means one familiar address for both school and childcare. We're there for your child from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM on all school days. During holidays and study days, we provide full-day care, ensuring parents always have childcare available. At SKSG Liekelei, we believe it's important that children feel safe and at home. Our pedagogical staff are ready with a listening ear, a hug or an exciting adventure. We believe in the power of play and give children space to be themselves. Because only those who are allowed to be themselves can grow.
