BSO KwestKids Naaldwijk, Montessori

BSO KwestKids Montessori is located at Schubertstraat 2 in Naaldwijk, right next to the Montessori Primary School. We are part of Stichting Kwest, a Westland-based organisation that has been providing childcare for over 25 years based on the principle ‘Give children the space to develop themselves’. Our after-school care welcomes up to 22 children aged 4 to 12. The setting is small-scale and homely. Children walk straight in after school and find a familiar place where they are free to choose what they want to do. We work with fixed peer groups, so every child sees the same faces every day and feels safe. Our pedagogical staff know the children well and respond to their needs: quiet time after a busy school day or recharging with new energy. The building borders a small playing field and is a stone’s throw from a petting farm. We also make regular use of the play and sports facilities in the immediate area. Indoors we have a discovery lab where children can experiment with technology and nature, and a cooking studio where they try out their own recipes. Our fixed Kwest programme ‘Nature Trail’ lets children learn about plants, animals and sustainability in a playful way. For parents we arrange both before-school care (VSO) and after-school care, including care on study days and during school holidays. We align our opening hours with the timetables of Montessori Primary School Naaldwijk so parents can stay flexible. Our BSO is a place where children feel at home, make their own choices and discover what they enjoy – every single day.
