BSO de Schelp

BSO de Schelp is located inside primary school De Parel at Zuiderzeestraatweg 145 in Hierden. We provide after-school care for up to 22 children aged 4 to 12. The BSO has been registered in the National Childcare Register since 23 February 2016 under number 242661361. We work closely with the primary school. Children in groups 1 and 2 are collected from their classroom; from group 3 onwards they walk to the BSO independently. Every child is welcomed personally and we always take a moment to chat. We believe it is important that every child feels heard and seen. Therefore we let the children help decide on the activity programme and we listen to their ideas. They are free to choose: join an activity or do something of their own. A variety of play materials is always available, such as craft supplies, construction toys and a cosy home corner. During two eating moments – fruit and vegetables and a cracker with various toppings – we sit together at the table. This group moment is used to talk about the day and everything that occupies the children. During school holidays we offer holiday care from 08.30 to 18.00. Children from different BSO locations then come together at one location; parents and children are informed in advance where the care will take place. During the summer construction holiday the BSO is closed. Our pedagogical staff are ready to spend a safe, challenging and above all enjoyable afternoon with the children.
