Welcome to Koningskind Childcare Apeldoorn Sprengenpark, our after-school care location at Henri Dunantlaan 6 in Apeldoorn. We are located in the monumental building of the former Teacher Training College, beautifully situated next to Sprengenpark and right next to the Tax Office. From this wooded area of Apeldoorn, we provide professional after-school care for up to 35 children aged 4 to 12. Our pedagogical approach is based on the theory of multiple intelligences, which we at Koningskind call 'the knaps'. These eight forms of intelligence – language, math, movement, music, social, self, nature and visual – form the starting point for all our activities. Our supervisors look specifically at what each child needs and use specific materials to stimulate development. This creates a continuous developmental line from primary school to our after-school care. The spaces are carefully arranged in different zones, with sustainable materials and a homely atmosphere at the core. Children have all the space they need to move freely and go on discovery. Our 600 m² garden is fully equipped with natural materials and offers every child a place to play, discover or just relax. We always work from more space per child than is usual. For after-school care, we use different contract forms, so parents can choose what best suits their situation. Our prices include the use of the after-school bus for school pick-up. By arrangement, there is also the possibility of pre-school care. We are open every weekday from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM and work with a fixed monthly fee.
