Knutselkookclub Almere

Welcome to Knutselkookclub Almere, our cheerful cooking after-school care located at Gilles de Geusstraat 2 in Almere. We offer children from kindergarten age up to pre-teens a unique place where they prepare their own dinner after school. Guided by our enthusiastic staff, children not only learn cooking techniques but also cooperation, creative thinking and how to choose healthy food. Our setting is small-scale: a maximum of twenty children per day, ensuring every child receives the attention they deserve. We collect the children from school and start with a shared moment to unwind from the school day. Then we head into our child-friendly kitchen. Chopping, stirring, tasting and, of course, crafting are all part of the fun. At the end of the afternoon the children proudly take home the meal they made themselves. Besides daily cooking activities we regularly organise creative workshops and themed days—think pizza-baking parties, decorating (unicorn) cakes or even a carpentry party. We also offer parent-and-child workshops for parents who would like to cook together with their child. Knutselkookclub Almere has been officially registered as after-school care since 28 May 2024 under LRK number 248084689. We follow the guidelines of GGD Flevoland and work according to clear pedagogical principles: fun, safety and developing independence are at the heart of everything we do.
