BSO Knots

Welcome to BSO Knots, our warm and challenging after-school care located in the heart of Breukelen. We are housed in a multifunctional building at Schepersweg 6d, right next to primary school de Schepershoek and together with daycare Spruit under one roof. This unique concept creates a vibrant meeting place where children aged 4 to 7 feel completely at home. Our location breathes an open and challenging character. Through our open-door policy, children can participate in various activities and workshops throughout the entire location on a daily basis. We have a beautiful studio where creative expression is central, a stage where children can perform and experiment with sound and movement, and a complete kitchen where we cook and bake together. These central spaces form the beating heart of our BSO, where meeting and discovery go hand in hand. As we are located on the first floor of the building, we have access to a large rooftop terrace. Here children can play, do sports and participate in activities. During the summer months, the rooftop terrace is also a wonderful place to eat outside. Additionally, we use the extensive outdoor areas of the adjacent primary school de Schepershoek, ensuring we always have sufficient space for outdoor play and nature experiences. We pick up children from the Regenboog, de Schepershoek, de Willibrordus and de Bijenschans. Most children walk from school to our BSO, providing a wonderful transition between the school day and after-school care. For children from de Bijenschans, we have an electric cargo bike available. We also provide before-school care on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 7:30 to 8:45 AM. Our pedagogical staff personally bring the children to school and ensure a good handover to the teacher. Our approach is based on the Pedagogical Heart of Kind&co ludens. We believe that children develop best when they feel good and have fun. We offer a rich environment full of challenges and opportunities to grow and discover. Together we form a mini-society where we care for each other and the world around us. During school holidays, we are open from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM, so parents can also count on us during vacation periods.
