Kindkracht 0/12, location Spetters is situated at Schoolplein 3 in Roelofarendsveen and forms part of Kaskade childcare and education. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 12 from RKBS De Kiem. The location accommodates up to 150 children and uses horizontal age groups: Stage 1-2 (infants), Stage 3-4 (middle primary), Stage 5-6 (upper primary) and Stage 7-8 (upper primary). Each stage has its own mobile number so parents can contact their child’s pedagogical staff directly. Our BSO focuses on the child’s free time. After a school day there is room for relaxation and free play in a homely, challenging play environment. Children can choose whether to take part in the activities we offer or develop their own play. During holiday weeks we compile a varied activity programme with sports, nature, culture, technology and creative activities. We also regularly organise excursions. The pedagogical staff support the children in their social-emotional development and teach them how to deal with themselves and with others. Location Spetters works with two pedagogical coaches who provide extra support whenever children need it. Our location has 6 after-school care groups and works closely with RKBS De Kiem for a smooth transition from school to care. We attach great importance to a secure place where warmth, respect and cheerfulness are central.
