Kinderwoud De Akkers

Welcome to BSO De Akkers by Kinderwoud, located in the Multifunctional Centre De Akkers at Veluwelaan 47 in Heerenveen. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 12 in a safe and familiar environment. Our location is officially registered in the National Childcare Register (LRK) under number 323484864 and has a capacity of up to 40 children. Our qualified pedagogical staff pick up children from school every day and ensure they have a fun and enriching afternoon. We collaborate with OBS Route 0513, which is located in the same centre. Children are given the space to play, explore and learn at their own pace. We offer a varied programme of activities focused on learning through play, movement, music and healthy nutrition. These include creative activities such as arts and crafts and cooking, sports and games, and nature exploration. We believe it is important that every child feels seen and valued. That’s why we provide both guided activities and free play, allowing children to choose what they enjoy. Our spacious indoor and outdoor areas offer plenty of opportunities to run, climb and play. We also provide healthy snacks and drinks to keep the children energised throughout the afternoon. BSO De Akkers is available not only for after-school care, but also during school holidays and study days. We follow the pedagogical vision of Kinderwoud, where the development of each child is central.
