Kinderwoud BSO Thomas

Welcome to Kinderwoud BSO Thomas, located in the Integral Child Center (IKC) Thomas van Aquino at Louw Doniastraat 1 in Sneek. As part of the Frisian childcare organization Kinderwoud, we provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 12. Our BSO has a homely and familiar atmosphere, with the group space cozily arranged in different corners. The rounded design of the room creates a dynamic effect, making children feel right at home. At BSO Thomas, we work with age groups. The presence of peers stimulates children's social development. We offer a wide range of activities and workshops. Think of creative activities like crafts, but also sports and games in our spacious outdoor area. The schoolyard is large and challenging, perfect for ball games, hide and seek, or other outdoor activities. Of course, just relaxing with friends is also an option. Our pedagogical staff are ready to guide children in their development. We follow the social-emotional development and well-being of each child. At Kinderwoud, we believe that every child should be SEEN. We provide a safe and secure environment where children can discover and learn through play. The BSO is open Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. On Fridays, we start at 11:45 AM. On school-free days, such as teacher training days, we provide additional care. For parents who need care before 7:30 AM or after 6:00 PM, extended care is often possible. Please feel free to contact us for this. We work closely with the Thomas van Aquino school and other schools in the area. This ensures a smooth transition from school to BSO.
