Kinderwoud BSO Langezwaag

Welcome to Kinderwoud BSO Langezwaag, located at De Klamp 12 in the centre of Langezwaag. Our after-school care is part of the large Kinderwoud organisation, which operates more than 75 locations across Friesland. We are situated inside primary school It Aventoer and welcome children aged 4 to 13. We provide both before-school care (VSO) and after-school care (NSO). From Monday to Friday we are open 07:30 – 18:00; extended care from 07:00 – 18:30 can be arranged when needed. During school holidays we run a holiday BSO packed with fun: two challenging activities per day built around a central theme. Activities include stand-up paddling, pole vaulting, museum visits, the ‘Barefoot Path’ or a sports day. We work with age-based groups because infants need more security while older children like to spread their wings. Each group has a dedicated mentor who is the fixed contact for your child and your family. We monitor social-emotional development and invite children aged 6 and up to share their BSO experience every year. Updates are shared through our parent portal or in a personal conversation. Our themed activity programme is wide-ranging: Discover & Explore, Sport & Fitness, Cooking & Baking, Music, Theatre & Art, Nature & Adventure, and Chill & Play. We create an environment that is ‘as safe as necessary’ so that children can playfully learn to assess risk and make choices. Fruit, drinks and a healthy cracker are included; allergies or dietary requirements are naturally accommodated. We collect and escort children to and from school on foot or by bicycle.
